On June 16, 2025, the historic Sala Luca Giordano in Palazzo Medici Riccardi, Florence, hosted the highly anticipated North American Clinical Dermatologic Society Annual Meeting—one of the most significant scientific events of the year in the field of clinical dermatology.
The entire event was organized and managed by the World Health Academy Publishing House, an international publishing institution dedicated to promoting open-access medical and health science knowledge. The conference welcomed experts and professionals from across Europe and beyond, featuring a compact yet high-level scientific program.
A Synergy of Editorial and Academic Vision
The World Health Academy Publishing House is not only a publishing house—it also proudly serves as official sponsor of the Prisca Sapientia Institute, an innovative Swiss institution of higher academic education based in Zurich.
The relationship between the two organizations is strategic and deeply aligned:
- Dr. Milo Dolci, renowned publisher and academic leader, is Director General of the Prisca Sapientia Institute as well as a key figure within WHA Publishing House.
- Prof. Torello Lotti, one of the world’s most respected dermatologists, is Rector of the Prisca Sapientia Institute and played a central role in the organization and scientific leadership of the Florence event.
Science, Innovation, and Open Dissemination
The morning sessions—chaired by Prof. Lotti and Dr. Marco Andreassi—covered a broad spectrum of vital topics in contemporary dermatology: from antioxidant and anti-inflammatory plant-derived molecules, to emerging trends in cosmeceuticals, pediatric dermatology communication, surgical-dermatological synergy, and the continuing relevance of COVID-19 in clinical practice.
All contributions will be compiled and published in a Special Issue by the World Health Academy Publishing House, offered with free access and online indexing, in line with WHA’s commitment to transparent and authoritative scientific dissemination.
Florence: A Global Hub of Scientific Culture
The choice of Florence—cradle of the Renaissance—as the venue symbolized the fusion of beauty, culture, and science, values at the heart of both the Prisca Sapientia Institute and the World Health Academy Publishing House.
A Growing International Network
The success of this event confirms the strength of the collaboration between academic and editorial worlds. It also signals a series of upcoming initiatives in which the World Health Academy Publishing House will continue to play a leading role—supporting scientific events, open-access publishing, and advanced academic programs in synergy with the Prisca Sapientia Institute.
